Cosmetic Bonding - Washington DC Dentist
Cosmetic Bonding or dental bonding is a procedure that uses composite resins which form a strong bond to teeth that are decayed, chipped, or to change the shape of the teeth, close gaps between the teeth, or add length.
Dental bonding is one of the easiest and least expensive procedures. Usually a dental bonding can be performed in one office visit, unless the bonding is required for multiple teeth. Anesthesia is usually not required unless the bonding is meant to fill a cavity. There are a few disadvantages that dental bonding has to veneers and crowns. While cheaper and easier, dental bonding is not as stain resistant as crowns. Dental bonding is not as durable as crowns, veneers or fillings.

Following this will be an ultraviolet light that hardens the material. Dental bonding usually takes between 30 to 60 minutes per tooth.
